What Inspires You?
Inspiration! The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something. It’s a marvellous thing. It is sheer amazement. It pushes those dreams into goals into reality.
It allows us to achieve great things, allows us to hold on to an amazing feeling. Inspiration means a different thing to everyone, as it comes in different forms – fitness, art, music, blogs – the list is endless. Inspiration is the push to turn dreams into actions; it’s what makes you take the plunge.
A question that I am asked frequently is what inspires you? What inspires you to stay fit, to make the commitment and stick to your goals, to get out of bed in the mornings when you’re just not feeling it? It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly inspires me; it’s a combination of many things. And of course, the inspiration comes from within. However that has not always been the case and there is no shame in requiring motivation! It’s all a part of the journey.
Being Strong
This is an important factor to me. Being strong in the gym directly flows into my personal life. I want to be strong in every factor of life and be the best I can be! Think Beyoncé – she’s strong, she’s fierce and she owns it in every aspect of her personal and professional life. That inspires me!
Motivation Quotes and Photos
I am a very visual person and love having motivational quotes and photos plastered everywhere and anywhere. Have it where ever would help you the most – around the office, on the fridge, saved as a background on your phone or iPad.
Blogs & Instagram
I love reading and seeing other people’s passion in life! And this does not necessarily have to be in the fitness industry, I love scrolling blogs and Instagram about wellness, health, food, fashion and photography. Seeing the passion other people have in life is truly inspiring in itself and it’s contagious!
Music
Music is such an important factor in inspiration! Who doesn’t like workouts with music? Some of my personal favourites include Celine Dion and Taylor Swift. Whether is a fast tune to get me pumped while working out or dancing in the street, or a slow jam to chill out and relax – music is powerful and motivating! You can listen to my workout playlist here.
Visualise the results
In a nutshell, daydream. Visualise in your mind the results you’re after. Picture the end goal. How good does that feel? How good does it look? That the inspiration to keep going, you’ll get there!
Now that I’ve shared with you my inspirations, tell me what inspires you?
